It is better to be poor than dishonest. - I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference.
- But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives,
and he will stand upon the earth at last. - Too much talk leads to sin.
Be sensible and keep your mouth shut. - You must not murder. You must not commit adultery. You must not steal. You must not testify falsely. Honor your father and mother. Love your neighbor as yourself.
- To acquire wisdom is to love yourself;
people who cherish understanding will prosper. - Keep the commandments and keep your life;
despising them leads to death. - Praise the Lord; praise God our savior!
For each day he carries us in his arms. - Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away.
- For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are.
- You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror.

O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. - The commandments of the Lord are right,
bringing joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are clear,
giving insight for living. - When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand.
- For I know that as you pray for me and the Spirit of Jesus Christ helps me, this will lead to my deliverance.
- Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth.
- But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.”
- Once again you will have compassion on us.
You will trample our sins under your feet
and throw them into the depths of the ocean! - Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous.
- Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting for those who belong to the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and never treat them harshly.

- Now if you will obey me and keep my covenant, you will be my own special treasure from among all the peoples on earth; for all the earth belongs to me.
- The heavens proclaim the glory of God.
The skies display his craftsmanship.
Day after day they continue to speak;
night after night they make him known. - Fear the Lord and judge with integrity, for the Lord our God does not tolerate perverted justice, partiality, or the taking of bribes.
- Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
- He took some bread and gave thanks to God for it. Then he broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”
- God is not a man, so he does not lie.
He is not human, so he does not change his mind.
Has he ever spoken and failed to act?
Has he ever promised and not carried it through? - Give us today the food we need.
- For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.
