- Do not say, “Why is it that the former days were better than these?”
For it is not from wisdom that you ask about this. - And when they arrest you and hand you over, do not worry beforehand about what you are to say, but say whatever is given you at that time; for you are not the ones speaking, but it is the Holy Spirit.
- All the prophets testify of Him, that through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins.
- What is man that You think of him,
And a son of man that You are concerned about him? - Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test?
- The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not willing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance.
- When I kept silent about my sin, my body wasted away
Through my groaning all day long. - And as for you, the anointing which you received from Him remains in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you remain in Him.
- Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
- Now faith is the certainty of things hoped for, a proof of things not seen.

Stop dwelling on it. - The ransom of a person’s life is his wealth,
But the poor hears no rebuke. - Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. A prayer of a righteous person, when it is brought about, can accomplish much.
- And not only this, but we also celebrate in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope.
- Now then, let the fear of the Lord be upon you; be careful about what you do, for the Lord our God will have no part in injustice or partiality, or in the taking of a bribe.
- But when he had thought this over, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.”

- For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.

You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah - What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? Far from it! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, “You shall not covet.”
- So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
- Now John himself had a garment of camel’s hair and a leather belt around his waist; and his food was locusts and wild honey.
- For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
- But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.
- And I will walk at liberty,
For I seek Your precepts. - So we fasted and sought our God concerning this matter, and He listened to our pleading.
- I will make them and the places around My hill a blessing. And I will make showers fall in their season; they will be showers of blessing.
