- Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!
- But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.
- And now I am about to go the way of all the earth, and you know in your hearts and souls, all of you, that not one word has failed of all the good things that the Lord your God promised concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one of them has failed.
- To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.
- And he went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people.

and the fatherless who had none to help him.
The blessing of him who was about to perish came upon me,
and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy. - Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
- Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
- And when they bring you to trial and deliver you over, do not be anxious beforehand what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.
- Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
- As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions.
- Say not, “Why were the former days better than these?”
For it is not from wisdom that you ask this. - I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
- Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.
- The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
- Do not toil to acquire wealth;
be discerning enough to desist. - The ransom of a man's life is his wealth,
but a poor man hears no threat. - But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.”
- Because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.
- And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.
- For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
- What is man that you are mindful of him,
and the son of man that you care for him? - You are a hiding place for me;
you preserve me from trouble;
you surround me with shouts of deliverance. Selah - So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
- Now John wore a garment of camel's hair and a leather belt around his waist, and his food was locusts and wild honey.
- For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
- But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.
- And I shall walk in a wide place,
for I have sought your precepts. - But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
- So we fasted and implored our God for this, and he listened to our entreaty.
- And I will make them and the places all around my hill a blessing, and I will send down the showers in their season; they shall be showers of blessing.
- When God saw what they did, how they turned from their evil way, God relented of the disaster that he had said he would do to them, and he did not do it.
- But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.
- For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away
through my groaning all day long. - Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you;
bind them around your neck;
write them on the tablet of your heart.
So you will find favor and good success
in the sight of God and man.
