- When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
- The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid? - In God, whose word I praise,
in God I trust; I shall not be afraid.
What can flesh do to me? - Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
- I, I am he who comforts you;
who are you that you are afraid of man who dies,
of the son of man who is made like grass. - And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus.”
- And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.”
- But Jesus on hearing this answered him, “Do not fear; only believe, and she will be well.”
- But when they saw him walking on the sea they thought it was a ghost, and cried out, for they all saw him and were terrified. But immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”
- But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.”
- The Lord is on my side; I will not fear.
What can man do to me? - Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

- So we can confidently say,
“The Lord is my helper;
I will not fear;
what can man do to me?” - It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.

be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. - And if you say in your heart, ‘How may we know the word that the Lord has not spoken?’— when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word that the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You need not be afraid of him.
- For the customs of the peoples are vanity.
A tree from the forest is cut down
and worked with an axe by the hands of a craftsman.
They decorate it with silver and gold;
they fasten it with hammer and nails
so that it cannot move.
Their idols are like scarecrows in a cucumber field,
and they cannot speak;
they have to be carried,
for they cannot walk.
Do not be afraid of them,
for they cannot do evil,
neither is it in them to do good. - But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled.
- Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
- For I, the Lord your God,
hold your right hand;
it is I who say to you, “Fear not,
I am the one who helps you.”
Though an army encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear;
though war arise against me,
yet I will be confident.The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen. And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.Next verse!With image
