- Only be very careful to observe the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways and to keep his commandments and to cling to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.
- And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.”
- Set me as a seal upon your heart,
as a seal upon your arm,
for love is strong as death,
jealousy is fierce as the grave.
Its flashes are flashes of fire,
the very flame of the Lord. - And if you say in your heart, ‘How may we know the word that the Lord has not spoken?’— when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word that the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You need not be afraid of him.

that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’ - For the Lord loves justice;
he will not forsake his saints.
They are preserved forever,
but the children of the wicked shall be cut off. - He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.” - If anyone sins, doing any of the things that by the Lord's commandments ought not to be done, though he did not know it, then realizes his guilt, he shall bear his iniquity.
- Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.
- The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof,
the world and those who dwell therein. - Behold, God is my helper;
the Lord is the upholder of my life. - And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments and statutes of the Lord, which I am commanding you today for your good?
- And the angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy—the Son of God.”
- For whoever finds me finds life
and obtains favor from the Lord. - Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Lord God, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live?
- Better is the little that the righteous has
than the abundance of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
but the Lord upholds the righteous. - The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.
- Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.
- Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.
- Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior.
- Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand.
- The steps of a man are established by the Lord,
when he delights in his way. - Seek the Lord and his strength;
seek his presence continually! - Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.
- He who finds a wife finds a good thing
and obtains favor from the Lord.
