- There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his.

- So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
- Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.”
- No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
- Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
- Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”

and spreads slander is a fool. - Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
- Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.
- Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”
- Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
- Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me.
- Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters.
- Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
when it is in your power to act. - Then he said to them, “Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. For it is the one who is least among you all who is the greatest.”
- Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life,
but whoever ignores correction leads others astray. - Whoever walks in integrity walks securely,
but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out. - Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
