- Hear my prayer, O Lord,
and give ear unto my cry;
hold not thy peace at my tears:
for I am a stranger with thee,
and a sojourner, as all my fathers were. - And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
- When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken.
- And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
- So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
- Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.

- I made a covenant with mine eyes;
why then should I think upon a maid? - Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
- Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
- And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent.
- This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
- Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?
- A fool's wrath is presently known:
but a prudent man covereth shame. - Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
- Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
- Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child. If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry; And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.
- Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
- And the Lord commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.
- A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth:
and a word spoken in due season, how good is it! - Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.
- The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.
- And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.
- If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
- Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.
