- You will show me the path to life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence
and everlasting delights at your right hand. - If a man has recently been married, he is not to go off to battle nor have any other duty laid on him. He will be free to stay at home for one year so that he can bring happiness to the wife whom he has married.

- And every day, both in the temple and at home, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming Jesus as the Christ.
- Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that at the proper time he may exalt you.
- During the day the Lord grants his kindness,
and at night his praise is with me,

a nomad like all my ancestors. - The end of all things is near. Therefore, lead disciplined lives and be watchful in prayer.
- No one has ever seen God,
but if we love one another,
God abides in us,
and his love is made complete in us. - Exalted at God’s right hand, he received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear.
- He is the reflection of God’s glory
and the perfect expression of his very being,
sustaining all things by his powerful word.
Achieving purification from sins,
he took his seat at the right hand of the Majesty on high. - In God alone be at rest, O my soul;
it is from him that my hope comes. - Gaze upon the birds in the sky. They do not sow or reap or store in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of far greater value than they?
- In God alone is my soul at rest;
it is from him that my salvation comes. - A man is joyful when he utters apt answers,
and even more satisfying is a word in season. - In all of your prayers and entreaties, pray always in the Spirit. To that end, keep alert and always persevere in supplication for all the saints.
- Seek the Lord while he still may be found;
call to him when he is close at hand. - About midnight, Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.
