- I had fainted, unless I had believed
to see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living. - For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
- Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
- By the word of the Lord were the heavens made;
and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. - The hope of the righteous shall be gladness:
but the expectation of the wicked shall perish. - And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us:
and establish thou the work of our hands upon us;
yea, the work of our hands establish thou it. - Children's children are the crown of old men;
and the glory of children are their fathers. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge:
but fools despise wisdom and instruction. - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
- Ye that love the Lord, hate evil:
he preserveth the souls of his saints;
he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. - The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable:
but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness. - Blessings are upon the head of the just:
but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked. - Blessed is the man
that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. - One thing have I desired of the Lord,
that will I seek after;
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to behold the beauty of the Lord,
and to enquire in his temple. - What is man, that thou art mindful of him?
and the son of man, that thou visitest him? - Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
- These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
- That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ.
- And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
- For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
- Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
- Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.
- He loveth righteousness and judgment:
the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. - That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
- O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.As for God, his way is perfect:
the word of the Lord is tried:
he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.Next verse!With image
