- But say the things which fit sound doctrine.
- Let no one seek his own, but each one his neighbor’s good.
- Every way of a man is right in his own eyes,
but Yahweh weighs the hearts. - A fool shows his annoyance the same day,
but one who overlooks an insult is prudent. - The wise in heart accept commandments,
but a chattering fool will fall. - But you go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
- The grass withers,
the flower fades;
but the word of our God stands forever. - But you, Yahweh, are a shield around me,
my glory, and the one who lifts up my head. - There is a way which seems right to a man,
but in the end it leads to death. - The memory of the righteous is blessed,
but the name of the wicked will rot. - A truthful witness will not lie,
but a false witness pours out lies. - A cheerful heart makes good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. - Riches don’t profit in the day of wrath,
but righteousness delivers from death. - Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down,
but a kind word makes it glad. - Treasures of wickedness profit nothing,
but righteousness delivers from death. - The fear of man proves to be a snare,
but whoever puts his trust in Yahweh is kept safe. - A man’s pride brings him low,
but one of lowly spirit gains honor. - Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
but when longing is fulfilled, it is a tree of life. - Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh,
but those who do the truth are his delight. - Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
but Yahweh delivers him out of them all. - But he who looks into the perfect law of freedom and continues, not being a hearer who forgets but a doer of the work, this man will be blessed in what he does.
- But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- The ransom of a man’s life is his riches,
but the poor hear no threats. - For Yahweh your God will bless you, as he promised you. You will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow. You will rule over many nations, but they will not rule over you.
- When Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.”
Many will purify themselves, and make themselves white, and be refined, but the wicked will do wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.Who is this King of glory?
