Chinese (traditional)- Love does no wrong to others, so love fulfills the requirements of God’s law.
- The rich can pay a ransom for their lives,
but the poor won’t even get threatened. - The rich think of their wealth as a strong defense;
they imagine it to be a high wall of safety. - The Lord opens the eyes of the blind.
The Lord lifts up those who are weighed down.
The Lord loves the godly. - After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content.
- Have you never heard?
Have you never understood?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of all the earth.
He never grows weak or weary.
No one can measure the depths of his understanding. - Enjoy prosperity while you can,
but when hard times strike, realize that both come from God.
Remember that nothing is certain in this life.
And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing.Next verse!With image
