Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. - And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”
- How can a young man cleanse his way?
By taking heed according to Your word. - You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
- Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
- Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me. - But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.
- If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
- Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
- But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
- Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
- Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean;
Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes.
Cease to do evil. - Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word.
- How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
- For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.
- Have mercy upon me, O God,
According to Your lovingkindness;
According to the multitude of Your tender mercies,
Blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
And cleanse me from my sin.
