- My flesh and my heart may fail,
But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. - I have inherited Your testimonies forever,
For they are the joy of my heart. - May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
Lord, my rock and my Redeemer. - Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
But desire fulfilled is a tree of life. - May He grant you your heart’s desire
And fulfill your whole plan! - Lord, all my desire is before You;
And my sighing is not hidden from You. - Whom do I have in heaven but You?
And with You, I desire nothing on earth. - Indeed, while following the way of Your judgments, Lord,
We have waited for You eagerly;
Your name, and remembering You, is the desire of our souls. - But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.
- I delight to do Your will, my God;
Your Law is within my heart. - My son, if your heart is wise,
My own heart also will be glad. - Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.
- So will My word be which goes out of My mouth;
It will not return to Me empty,
Without accomplishing what I desire,
And without succeeding in the purpose for which I sent it. - Incline my heart to Your testimonies,
And not to dishonest gain. - Therefore, treat the parts of your earthly body as dead to sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry.
- Now go and learn what this means: ‘I desire compassion, rather than sacrifice,’ for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.
- I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart;
I will tell of all Your wonders. - I have treasured Your word in my heart,
So that I may not sin against You. - The Lord is my strength and my shield;
My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore my heart triumphs,
And with my song I shall thank Him. - With all my heart I have sought You;
Do not let me wander from Your commandments. - But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better; yet to remain on in the flesh is more necessary for your sakes.
- Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
- Teach me Your way, Lord;
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name. - For the desire of the flesh is against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, in order to keep you from doing whatever you want.
- If an army encamps against me,
My heart will not fear;
If war arises against me,
In spite of this I am confident.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
A broken and a contrite heart, God, You will not despise.I will rejoice and be jubilant in You;
I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High. Yet those who wait for the Lord
Will gain new strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary.Next verse!With image
