- My flesh and my heart faileth:
but God is the strength of my heart,
and my portion for ever. - Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever:
for they are the rejoicing of my heart. - Let the words of my mouth,
and the meditation of my heart,
be acceptable in thy sight,
O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. - Hope deferred maketh the heart sick:
but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life. - Yea, in the way of thy judgments,
O Lord, have we waited for thee;
the desire of our soul is to thy name,
and to the remembrance of thee. - I delight to do thy will, O my God:
yea, thy law is within my heart. - My son, if thine heart be wise,
my heart shall rejoice, even mine. - Lord, all my desire is before thee;
and my groaning is not hid from thee. - Whom have I in heaven but thee?
and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. - Incline my heart unto thy testimonies,
and not to covetousness. - Grant thee according to thine own heart,
and fulfil all thy counsel. - The desire of a man is his kindness:
and a poor man is better than a liar. - In the multitude of my thoughts within me
thy comforts delight my soul. - Thy word have I hid in mine heart,
that I might not sin against thee. - As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.
- The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusted in him, and I am helped:
therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth;
and with my song will I praise him. - Though an host should encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear:
though war should rise against me,
in this will I be confident. - Teach me thy way, O Lord;
I will walk in thy truth:
unite my heart to fear thy name. - Search me, O God, and know my heart:
try me, and know my thoughts:
And see if there be any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. - But I have trusted in thy mercy;
my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.
I will sing unto the Lord,
because he hath dealt bountifully with me. - For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.
- But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
- With my whole heart have I sought thee:
O let me not wander from thy commandments. - And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.
- I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart;
I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.
The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
the Lord is the strength of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid?But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil.Next verse!With image
