- Then Peter came up to him and asked, “Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus answered, “I say to you, not seven times but seventy times seven.”
- The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed,
a refuge in times of distress. - I will bless the Lord at all times;
his praise will be continually on my lips. - A true friend is one at all times,
and a brother is born to render help in time of need. - But whoever endures to the end will be saved.
- If your brother should sin, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. Even if he wrongs you seven times a day, and comes back to you seven times to say, ‘I am sorry,’ you must forgive him.
- God has overlooked the times of human ignorance, but now he commands people everywhere to repent.
- May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.
- There is a way that seems right to a man,
but the end of it leads to death. - The end of all things is near. Therefore, lead disciplined lives and be watchful in prayer.
- My life is in your hands;
deliver me from the power of my enemies,
from the clutches of those who pursue me. - In all of your prayers and entreaties, pray always in the Spirit. To that end, keep alert and always persevere in supplication for all the saints.
- For we will become partners with Christ only if we maintain firmly until the end the confidence we originally had.
- God is our refuge and our strength,
a well-proved help in times of trouble. - And the good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the entire world as a testimony offered to all the nations. And then the end will come.
- When things are going well, be grateful for your blessings,
and in times of adversity consider this:
God has made both of them,
so that we cannot predict with confidence
what the future holds. - Be joyful in your hope. Be patient in times of affliction. Persevere in prayer.
- But I know that my Redeemer lives,
and that at the end he will stand upon the dust. - He has made everything suitable for its time, and he has given men a sense of past and future, but they never have the slightest comprehension of what God has wrought from beginning to end.
- However, now that you have been freed from sin and bound to the service of God, the benefit you receive is sanctification, and the end is eternal life.
- But I will sing of your strength;
when morning dawns, I will proclaim your kindness.
For you have been my fortress,
my refuge in times of trouble. - Repent, therefore, and be converted so that your sins may be wiped away.
- This is the end of my teaching.
All has been heard.
Fear God and keep his commandments,
for that is the responsibility of everyone. - For Christ is the fulfillment of the Law for the justification of all who believe.
- But from you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah,
among the tiniest of the clans of Judah,
from you will come forth for me
one who is to be a ruler in Israel,
one whose origins are from the distant past,
from ancient times.
Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the world.All this took place in order to fulfill what the Lord had announced through the prophet:
“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and give birth to a son,
and they shall name him Emmanuel,”
a name that means “God is with us.” But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them. For it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.”Next verse!With image
