- As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him. - For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
- And every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father. - And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever.
- The father of a righteous child has great joy;
a man who fathers a wise son rejoices in him. - For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
- I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.
- If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.
- Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
- Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.
- You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
- But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
- Yet you, Lord, are our Father.
We are the clay, you are the potter;
we are all the work of your hand. - Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.
- Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.
- “Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”
- Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last.
- Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?
- Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.
- For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.
- Your statutes are my heritage forever;
they are the joy of my heart. - Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.
- Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.
- This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
- And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his love endures forever.But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
