- Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works.
- Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
- And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
- How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
- He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
- For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
- For thou hast possessed my reins:
thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:
marvellous are thy works;
and that my soul knoweth right well. - All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
- It is a snare to the man who devoureth that which is holy,
and after vows to make enquiry. - Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
- And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.
- Commit thy works unto the Lord,
and thy thoughts shall be established. - Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
- There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
- Withhold not good from them to whom it is due,
when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. - But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
- It is better to trust in the Lord
than to put confidence in man. - Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
for brethren to dwell together in unity! - If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
- The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me:
thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever:
forsake not the works of thine own hands. - For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake.
- And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
- And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
- Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.
- Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?I will be glad and rejoice in thee:
I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.
