- For thou hast possessed my reins:
thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:
marvellous are thy works;
and that my soul knoweth right well. - Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.
- Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.
- He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
- And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
- It is an honour for a man to cease from strife:
but every fool will be meddling. - Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus.
- But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.
- And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
- Lead me in thy truth, and teach me:
for thou art the God of my salvation;
on thee do I wait all the day. - And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
- If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
- Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy.
- Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil:
but to the counsellors of peace is joy. - For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
- For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
- Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
- Sing unto God, sing praises to his name:
extol him that rideth upon the heavens
by his name Jah, and rejoice before him.
A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows,
is God in his holy habitation. - For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake.
- To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
- Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace,
whose mind is stayed on thee:
because he trusteth in thee. - Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us,
according as we hope in thee. - If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
- And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.
- Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
