| Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit. |
| And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. | And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. |
| For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. | For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. |
| We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. | If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. | For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God? | For who is God, except the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God? |
| It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God. | For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God. |
| So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard? | Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? |
| Keep me safe, my God, for in you I take refuge. | Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust. |
| When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. | Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You. |
| For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
