- Children’s children are a crown to the aged,
and parents are the pride of their children. - Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.
- Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice

and break every yoke? - But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile.

Blessed are those who fear the Lord,
who find great delight in his commands. - If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
- For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.
- Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
- But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.
- For who is God besides the Lord?
And who is the Rock except our God? - He is the Rock, his works are perfect,
and all his ways are just.
A faithful God who does no wrong,
upright and just is he. - But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.
- For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
- And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
- Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.
- He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
- The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
- I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
- “No weapon forged against you will prevail,
and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
and this is their vindication from me,”
declares the Lord. - For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.
- The wealth of the rich is their fortified city;
they imagine it a wall too high to scale. - Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
- For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.
