Bible Verses about 'Faith'

  • In it the righteousness of God is revealed, beginning in faith and established in faith. As it is written: “The one who is righteous will live through faith.”
  • For we walk by faith, not by sight.
  • In the same way, faith by itself is dead if it does not have works.
  • For you know that the testing of your faith will develop perseverance.
  • Keep alert; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.
  • So then, faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ.
  • Welcome anyone whose faith is weak, but do not get into arguments about doubts.
  • Faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the conviction about things that cannot be seen.
  • Thus there are three things that endure: faith, hope, and love,
and the greatest of these is love.
  • Therefore, now that we have been justified by faith, we are at peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • For everyone born of God
    conquers the world.
And the victory that conquers the world
    is our faith.
  • Since in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor lack of circumcision is worth anything. All that matters is faith expressing itself through love.
  • But as for you, man of God, you must shun all this. Rather, pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, fortitude, and gentleness.
  • Jesus said to him, “Go on your way! Your faith has made you well.” Immediately, he received his sight and followed him along the road.
  • Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your noble confession of faith in the presence of many witnesses.
  • He answered, “Because you have such little faith. Amen, I say to you, if you have faith as tiny as a mustard seed, you will be able to say to this mountain: ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
  • The proud man’s heart is not upright,
but the righteous man will live
    because of his faith.
  • Whatever you ask for in faith-filled prayer, you will receive.
  • And whoever does not provide for relatives, especially for those who are living with him, has disowned the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
  • Through faith you are all children of God in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves in Christ.
  • Let no one regard you with contempt because of your youth, but serve as an example to the believers in your speech and conduct, in your love, your faith, and your purity.
  • Therefore, while we have the opportunity, let us labor for the good of all, but especially for those members of the household of the faith.
  • We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners, yet we know that a man is justified not by the works of the Law but through faith in Jesus Christ. So we too came to believe in Christ Jesus so that we might be justified by faith in him and not by the works of the Law, for no one will be justified by the works of the Law.
  • But he is to ask with faith, without doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed about by the wind.
  • But without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever comes to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

Turn away from youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, together with those who call on the Lord with a pure heart.
