I will give you great honor and satisfy you with the inheritance I promised to your ancestor Jacob. | Never abandon a friend— either yours or your father’s. When disaster strikes, you won’t have to ask your brother for assistance. | Think about it: Just as a parent disciplines a child, the Lord your God disciplines you for your own good. | Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the Lord your God disciplines you. |
