- Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

Yours, Lord, is the kingdom;
you are exalted as head over all. - But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
to blot out their name from the earth. - And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
- I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.
- The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.
- The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen.
- Our help is in the name of the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth. - Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.

- “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”
- The integrity of the upright guides them,
but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity. - For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
- God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
