| Lord, all my desire is before you. My groaning is not hidden from you. | O Lord, all my longing is known to you, and my sighs are not hidden from you. |

| Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. | The Lord will protect you against all evil; he will watch over your life. The Lord will watch over your coming and your going both now and forevermore. |
| Have mercy on me, God, according to your loving kindness. According to the multitude of your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity. Cleanse me from my sin. | Have mercy on me, O God, in accord with your kindness; in your abundant compassion wipe away my offenses. Wash me completely from my guilt, and cleanse me from my sin. |
| Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, but righteousness delivers from death. | Treasures obtained by wicked means profit nothing, but a righteous life brings delivery from death. |
| Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen. | And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. |
| My soul, you have said to Yahweh, “You are my Lord. Apart from you I have no good thing.” | I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.” |
| Yahweh’s face is against those who do evil, to cut off their memory from the earth. | The face of the Lord is turned against those who do evil, to erase all memory of them from the earth. |
| Don’t withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it. | Do not withhold kindness from anyone to whom it is due when it is in your power to grant it. |
| Return, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions, so iniquity will not be your ruin. | Repent and renounce all your transgressions. Otherwise your iniquity will prove to be your downfall. |

| You, Yahweh, remain forever. Your throne is from generation to generation. | But you, O Lord, reign forever; your throne endures from age to age. |
| If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on, you know him and have seen him. | If you know me, then you will know my Father also. From now on you do know him. You have seen him. |
| I came from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father. | I came from the Father and have come into the world. Now I am leaving the world and returning to the Father. |
| We have sinned, and have dealt perversely, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even turning aside from your precepts and from your ordinances. | We have sinned and done what is wrong, we have acted wickedly and rebelled, we have rejected your commandments and your laws. |
| For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. | The one who sows in his flesh will reap a harvest of corruption, but the one who sows in the Spirit will reap from the Spirit the reward of eternal life. |
