- He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
- He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
- My son, forget not my law;
but let thine heart keep my commandments:
For length of days, and long life,
and peace, shall they add to thee. - And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
- For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
- For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
- For whoso findeth me findeth life,
and shall obtain favour of the Lord. - Death and life are in the power of the tongue:
and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. - By humility and the fear of the Lord
are riches, and honour, and life. - Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings;
and the years of thy life shall be many. - Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity.
- The ransom of a man's life are his riches:
but the poor heareth not rebuke. - For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
- And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
- Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.
- For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
- Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
for ever. - Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
- For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
- Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
- He that followeth after righteousness and mercy
findeth life, righteousness, and honour. - The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
the Lord is the strength of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid? - Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
- For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
- For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?He only is my rock and my salvation:
he is my defence; I shall not be moved. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.Next verse!With image
