- He who guards his mouth preserves his life,

Let him seek peace and pursue it.” - Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

- Therefore remove sorrow from your heart,

For childhood and youth are vanity. - It is a snare for a man to devote rashly something as holy,
And afterward to reconsider his vows. - Houses and riches are an inheritance from fathers,
But a prudent wife is from the Lord. - For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
- For His anger is but for a moment,
His favor is for life;
Weeping may endure for a night,
But joy comes in the morning. - Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.
- For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?
- He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul,
But he who is careless of his ways will die. - So Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life.”
- The Lord redeems the soul of His servants,
And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned.
