Give (3/4)

  • He answered and said to them, “He who has two tunics, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise.”
  • Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.
  • I will praise You, O Lord, among the peoples,
    And I will sing praises to You among the nations.
  • The heart is deceitful above all things,
    And desperately wicked;
    Who can know it?
    I, the Lord, search the heart,
    I test the mind,
    Even to give every man according to his ways,
    According to the fruit of his doings.
  • And I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of heaven; I will give to your descendants all these lands; and in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed; because Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws.
  • “If you will not hear,
    And if you will not take it to heart,
    To give glory to My name,”
    Says the Lord of hosts,
    “I will send a curse upon you,
    And I will curse your blessings.
    Yes, I have cursed them already,
    Because you do not take it to heart.”
  • And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.
  • And in that day you will say:
    “Praise the Lord, call upon His name;
    Declare His deeds among the peoples,
    Make mention that His name is exalted.”
  • For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
  • To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
  • Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
  • Honor widows who are really widows.
  • But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.
  • The wicked borrows and does not repay,
    But the righteous shows mercy and gives.
  • I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
  • Defend the poor and fatherless;
    Do justice to the afflicted and needy.
  • May He grant you according to your heart’s desire,
    And fulfill all your purpose.
  • If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.
  • My son, give attention to my words;
    Incline your ear to my sayings.
    Do not let them depart from your eyes;
    Keep them in the midst of your heart.
  • Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs. But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.
  • Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.
  • Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.
  • We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other.
  • Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.
  • Teach me Your way, O Lord;
    I will walk in Your truth;
    Unite my heart to fear Your name.

Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
