| “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” | For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. |
| If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing. | If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. |
| So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. | And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. |
| May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace. | The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. |

| He will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers. | To those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. |
| But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. | Fathers can give their sons an inheritance of houses and wealth, but only the Lord can give an understanding wife. | House and wealth are inherited from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the Lord. |
