- But don’t be so concerned about perishable things like food. Spend your energy seeking the eternal life that the Son of Man can give you. For God the Father has given me the seal of his approval.
- Give me an eagerness for your laws
rather than a love for money! - Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you your heart’s desires. - For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him.
- I will never forget your commandments,
for by them you give me life. - Then God said, “Look! I have given you every seed-bearing plant throughout the earth and all the fruit trees for your food.”
- So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.
- And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.
- May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.
- Give to everyone what you owe them: Pay your taxes and government fees to those who collect them, and give respect and honor to those who are in authority.
- But who am I, and who are my people, that we could give anything to you? Everything we have has come from you, and we give you only what you first gave us!
- Others were given in exchange for you.
I traded their lives for yours
because you are precious to me.
You are honored, and I love you. - For Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in him are made right with God.
- The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.
- And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.
- Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!
His faithful love endures forever. - I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.
- Wash yourselves and be clean!
Get your sins out of my sight.
Give up your evil ways. - All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’).
- But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.
- And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him.
- And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you.
- And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
- Give to anyone who asks; and when things are taken away from you, don’t try to get them back.
- Father, I want these whom you have given me to be with me where I am. Then they can see all the glory you gave me because you loved me even before the world began!
