- What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord,
whose people he has chosen as his inheritance. - Now a mediator is helpful if more than one party must reach an agreement. But God, who is one, did not use a mediator when he gave his promise to Abraham.
- What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?
- For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
- It is better to be godly and have little
than to be evil and rich.
For the strength of the wicked will be shattered,

- The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.
- This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
- God is not a man, so he does not lie.
He is not human, so he does not change his mind.
Has he ever spoken and failed to act?
Has he ever promised and not carried it through? - The way of the Lord is a stronghold to those with integrity,
but it destroys the wicked. - Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom.
Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
Then you will have healing for your body
and strength for your bones. - Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant.
- For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do.
- Honor your father and mother. Then you will live a long, full life in the land the Lord your God is giving you.
- For who is God except the Lord?
Who but our God is a solid rock? - Every word of God proves true.
He is a shield to all who come to him for protection. - Heal the sick, and tell them, ‘The Kingdom of God is near you now.’

Who but our God is a solid rock? - For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.
