- Taste and see that the Lord is good;
How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! - And Jesus answered and said to them, “Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it will happen.”
- And whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive it all.
- Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good;
For His faithfulness is everlasting. - But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, but it is the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction.
- Then you will discern righteousness, justice,
And integrity, and every good path. - I said to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have nothing good besides You.” - And though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, obtaining as the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
- A joyful heart is good medicine,
But a broken spirit dries up the bones. - Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brothers to live together in unity! - He who finds a wife finds a good thing
And obtains favor from the Lord. - The Lord is good,
A stronghold in the day of trouble,
And He knows those who take refuge in Him. - How delightful on the mountains
Are the feet of one who brings good news,
Who announces peace
And brings good news of happiness,
Who announces salvation,
And says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” - That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner self, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love.
- But examine everything; hold firmly to that which is good, abstain from every form of evil.
- Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor.
- The young lions do without and suffer hunger;
But they who seek the Lord will not lack any good thing. - For,
“The one who desires life, to love and see good days,
Must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit.
He must turn away from evil and do good;
He must seek peace and pursue it.” - Indeed, there is not a righteous person on earth who always does good and does not ever sin.
- For He has satisfied the thirsty soul,
And He has filled the hungry soul with what is good. - Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
When it is in your power to do it. - Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.
- For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,
And abundant in mercy to all who call upon You. - Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge, and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness, and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love.
- Therefore leaving the elementary teaching about the Christ, let us press on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of instruction about washings and laying on of hands, and about the resurrection of the dead and eternal judgment.
