Good faith (4/4)

  • For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.
  • I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
  • As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to keep many people alive.
  • Learn to do good;
    Seek justice,
    Rebuke the oppressor,
    Obtain justice for the orphan,
    Plead for the widow’s case.
  • See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek what is good for one another and for all people.
  • One who gets wisdom loves his own soul;
    One who keeps understanding will find good.
  • Let’s not become discouraged in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not become weary.
  • And whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive it all.
  • And Jesus answered and said to them, “Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it will happen.”
  • The Lord is good and upright;
    Therefore He instructs sinners in the way.
    He leads the humble in justice,
    And He teaches the humble His way.
  • Who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, eager for good deeds.
  • But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who are abusive to you.
  • He has told you, mortal one, what is good;
    And what does the Lord require of you
    But to do justice, to love kindness,
    And to walk humbly with your God?
  • So then, does He who provides you with the Spirit and works miracles among you, do it by works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?
  • But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial, free of hypocrisy.
  • But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, but it is the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction.
  • I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good in one’s lifetime; moreover, that every person who eats and drinks sees good in all his labor—this is the gift of God.
  • And though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, obtaining as the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
  • So if you, despite being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?
  • That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner self, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love.
  • And God is able to make all grace overflow to you, so that, always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed.
  • The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
    All those who follow His commandments have a good understanding;
    His praise endures forever.
  • Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.
  • One who pays attention to the word will find good,
    And blessed is one who trusts in the Lord.
  • His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter the joy of your master.’

Bible verse of the day

But we all, with unveiled faces, looking as in a mirror at the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
