- The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise. - Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart,
All you who hope in the Lord. - So teach us to number our days,
That we may gain a heart of wisdom. - The tongue of the righteous is choice silver;
The heart of the wicked is worth little. - The wise in heart will receive commands,
But a prating fool will fall. - The heart is deceitful above all things,
And desperately wicked;
Who can know it?
I, the Lord, search the heart,
I test the mind,
Even to give every man according to his ways,
According to the fruit of his doings. - Before destruction the heart of a man is haughty,

“Turn to Me with all your heart,
With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.” - ‘And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.
- But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.
- That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
- Every way of a man is right in his own eyes,
But the Lord weighs the hearts. - Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God.
- Only fear the Lord, and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you.
- My son, give attention to my words;
Incline your ear to my sayings.
Do not let them depart from your eyes;
Keep them in the midst of your heart. - You should know in your heart that as a man chastens his son, so the Lord your God chastens you.
- Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me, and know my anxieties;
And see if there is any wicked way in me,
And lead me in the way everlasting. - My son, do not forget my law,
But let your heart keep my commands;
For length of days and long life
And peace they will add to you. - Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil,
But counselors of peace have joy.
