| The rich man's wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his own conceit. | The wealth of a rich man is his stronghold; he regards it as a high wall that cannot be scaled. |
| Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. | He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live in righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. |
