A wise son makes a glad father, But a foolish son is the grief of his mother.A wise child makes a glad father, but a foolish child is a mother's grief.

As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue.His divine power has given us everything needed for life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance.Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage.
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.The good person out of the good treasure of the heart produces good, and the evil person out of evil treasure produces evil; for it is out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks.
Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, Who delights greatly in His commandments.Praise the Lord! Happy are those who fear the Lord, who greatly delight in his commandments.
If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.If any think they are religious, and do not bridle their tongues but deceive their hearts, their religion is worthless.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Who “will render to each one according to his deeds”For he will repay according to each one's deeds.
For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?For what will it profit them if they gain the whole world but forfeit their life? Or what will they give in return for their life?
And they put up over His head the accusation written against Him: THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.Over his head they put the charge against him, which read, “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”
Do not envy the oppressor, And choose none of his ways; For the perverse person is an abomination to the Lord, But His secret counsel is with the upright.Do not envy the violent and do not choose any of their ways; for the perverse are an abomination to the Lord, but the upright are in his confidence.

And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ ”In Hades, where he was being tormented, he looked up and saw Abraham far away with Lazarus by his side. He called out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am in agony in these flames.’
And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.And my God will fully satisfy every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
A fool vents all his feelings, But a wise man holds them back.A fool gives full vent to anger, but the wise quietly holds it back.
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.So that, with the eyes of your heart enlightened, you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance among the saints.
Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.For the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.
By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and all their host by the breath of his mouth.
