- Honour widows that are widows indeed.
- Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.
- By humility and the fear of the Lord
are riches, and honour, and life. - A man's pride shall bring him low:
but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit. - The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom;
and before honour is humility. - Honour the Lord with thy substance,
and with the firstfruits of all thine increase. - He that followeth after righteousness and mercy
findeth life, righteousness, and honour. - Before destruction the heart of man is haughty,
and before honour is humility. - Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
- Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.
- Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
- If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
- It is an honour for a man to cease from strife:
but every fool will be meddling. - Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.
- In God is my salvation and my glory:
the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. - Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
- Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
- And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
- Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.
- Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
- For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God.
- If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath,
from doing thy pleasure on my holy day;
and call the sabbath a delight,
the holy of the Lord, honourable;
and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways,
nor finding thine own pleasure,
nor speaking thine own words:
Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord;
and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth,
and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father:
for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. - If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
- Let my mouth be filled with thy praise
and with thy honour all the day. - For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory. Selah. And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.Next verse!With image
