Observe the requirements of the Lord your God, and follow all his ways. Let those who are wise understand these things. Let those with discernment listen carefully. The paths of the Lord are true and right, and righteous people live by walking in them. Yes, he humbled you by letting you go hungry and then feeding you with manna, a food previously unknown to you and your ancestors. He did it to teach you that people do not live by bread alone; rather, we live by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. For the Lord loves justice, and he will never abandon the godly. He will keep them safe forever, but the children of the wicked will die.
