Then Peter asked, “Ananias, why has Satan so gained control of your heart that you lied to the Holy Spirit and retained part of the sale price of the land? While it remained unsold, did it not belong to you? And after it was sold, were not the proceeds yours? What caused you to contrive this scheme? The property was yours to sell or not sell, as you wished. And after selling it, the money was also yours to give away. How could you do a thing like this? We have come to know and to believe in the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16	We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. All those who keep his commandments abide in him, and he abides in them. And the proof that he abides in us is the Spirit that he has given us. 1 John 3:24	Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. He is a rock, his deeds are perfect, and all of his ways are just. He is a God of truth who does no wrong; he is just and upright. Deuteronomy 32:4	He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect. But Jesus has now received a ministry that is far superior, for he is the mediator of a far better covenant that has been established on better promises. But I have had help from God to this very day, and I stand here and testify to both the lowly and the great. Such hope will not be doomed to disappointment, because the love of God has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us. Each person should give as much as he has decided in his heart, not with reluctance or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”
