I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little.
Then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment. So you see, the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials, even while keeping the wicked under punishment until the day of final judgment.
But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person?
What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?
I have made a covenant with my eyes; how then could I gaze at a virgin?I made a covenant with my eyes not to look with lust at a young woman.
He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?

How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God.Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify our consciences from sinful deeds so that we can worship the living God.
