Bible Verses about 'How'

  • Behold, how good and pleasant it is
    when brothers dwell in unity!
  • If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!
  • Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!
  • How can a young man keep his way pure?
By guarding it according to your word.
  • Of how much more value is a man than a sheep! So it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.
  • To make an apt answer is a joy to a man,
and a word in season, how good it is!
  • I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need.
  • How much better to get wisdom than gold!
To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.
  • Then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment.
  • But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?
  • I have made a covenant with my eyes;
how then could I gaze at a virgin?
  • What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?
  • He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?
  • Oh, how abundant is your goodness,
which you have stored up for those who fear you
and worked for those who take refuge in you,
in the sight of the children of mankind!
  • Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds!
  • How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of him who brings good news,
who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness,
    who publishes salvation,
who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.”
  • How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God.
  • Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.
  • Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.
  • How I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and teaching you in public and from house to house.
  • Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times.”
  • He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise.
  • When God saw what they did, how they turned from their evil way, God relented of the disaster that he had said he would do to them, and he did not do it.
  • As you do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything.
  • To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
