- Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brothers to live together in unity! - So if you, despite being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?
- How can a young man keep his way pure?
By keeping it according to Your word. - Oh, the depth of the riches, both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!
- A person has joy in an apt answer,
And how delightful is a timely word! - How much more valuable then is a person than a sheep! So then, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.
- How much better it is to get wisdom than gold!
And to get understanding is to be chosen above silver. - I know how to get along with little, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need.
- I have made a covenant with my eyes;
How then could I look at a virgin? - Then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from a trial, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment.
- But whoever has worldly goods and sees his brother or sister in need, and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God remain in him?
- What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? Far from it! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?
- He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?
- How great is Your goodness,
Which You have stored up for those who fear You,
Which You have performed for those who take refuge in You,
Before the sons of mankind! - Consider the ravens, that they neither sow nor reap; they have no storeroom nor barn, and yet God feeds them; how much more valuable you are than the birds!
- So then, be careful how you walk, not as unwise people but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil.
- How delightful on the mountains
Are the feet of one who brings good news,
Who announces peace
And brings good news of happiness,
Who announces salvation,
And says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” - How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
- How I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was beneficial, and teaching you publicly and from house to house.
- Just as you do not know the path of the wind, and how bones are formed in the womb of the pregnant woman, so you do not know the activity of God who makes everything.
- Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. Your speech must always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.
- Then Peter came up and said to Him, “Lord, how many times shall my brother sin against me and I still forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy-seven times.”
- How blessed is he whose wrongdoing is forgiven,
Whose sin is covered! - He is not here, but He has risen. Remember how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee, saying that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise from the dead.
- You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by people.
And let’s consider how to encourage one another in love and good deeds, not abandoning our own meeting together, as is the habit of some people, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.Pursue peace with all people, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.
