For you were called to freedom, brothers. But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.But in your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be ready to make your defense to anyone who demands from you an accounting for the hope that is in you.
Let the lowly brother boast in his exaltation, and the rich in his humiliation, because like a flower of the grass he will pass away.Let the believer who is lowly boast in being raised up, and the rich in being brought low, because the rich will disappear like a flower in the field.
What is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?What are human beings that you are mindful of them, mortals that you care for them?
