- The reward for humility and fear of the Lord

- Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
- For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
- To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

- Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
- What is man that you are mindful of him,
and the son of man that you care for him? - But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.
- Hear my prayer, O Lord,
and give ear to my cry;

For I am a sojourner with you,
a guest, like all my fathers. - Pray then like this:

Behold, your king is coming to you;

humble and mounted on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey. - Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.
- Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
- But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’
