those who walk in pride. - So if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet.

- And whenever you fast, do not look dismal, like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces so as to show others that they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward.

and every tongue shall give praise to God.” - Let the believer who is lowly boast in being raised up, and the rich in being brought low, because the rich will disappear like a flower in the field.
- Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

mortals that you care for them? - But in your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be ready to make your defense to anyone who demands from you an accounting for the hope that is in you.

humble and riding on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey. - Very truly, I tell you, servants are not greater than their master, nor are messengers greater than the one who sent them.
- Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
- But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even look up to heaven, but was beating his breast and saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’
