- Humility is the fear of the Lord;

- What is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them? - But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.
- Hear my prayer, Lord,
listen to my cry for help;

I dwell with you as a foreigner,
a stranger, as all my ancestors were. - This, then, is how you should pray:
