- So you are to be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy; and I have singled you out from the peoples to be Mine.
- So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be to you; just as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”
- So you shall keep His statutes and His commandments which I am giving you today, so that it may go well for you and for your children after you, and that you may live long on the land which the Lord your God is giving you for all time.
- And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the Lord’s commandments and His statutes which I am commanding you today for your good?
- These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. And you shall repeat them diligently to your sons and speak of them when you sit in your house, when you walk on the road, when you lie down, and when you get up.
- Return and say to Hezekiah the leader of My people, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your father David says: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I am going to heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord.”’
- Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.
- In that I am commanding you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, so that you may live and become numerous, and that the Lord your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to take possession of it.
- I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
And I wait for His word. - But who am I and who are my people that we should be able to offer as generously as this? For all things come from You, and from Your hand we have given to You.
- Do not presume that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill.
- The Lord is for me; I will not fear;
What can man do to me? - In God, whose word I praise,
In God I have put my trust;
I shall not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me? - Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
- Even before there is a word on my tongue,
Behold, Lord, You know it all. - If I should say, “My foot has slipped,”
Your faithfulness, Lord, will support me. - Let me hear Your faithfulness in the morning,
For I trust in You;
Teach me the way in which I should walk;
For to You I lift up my soul. - My soul, wait in silence for God alone,
For my hope is from Him. - For I long to see you so that I may impart some spiritual gift to you, that you may be established; that is, that I may be encouraged together with you while among you, each of us by the other’s faith, both yours and mine.
- Bless the Lord, my soul,
And all that is within me, bless His holy name. - And so the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people.”
- Peace I leave you, My peace I give you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, nor fearful.
- I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
- But He knows the way I take;
When He has put me to the test, I will come out as gold.
My foot has held on to His path;
I have kept His way and not turned aside. - Now go and learn what this means: ‘I desire compassion, rather than sacrifice,’ for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.
