- I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
- The Lord is for me; I will not fear;
What can man do to me? - I am the vine, you are the branches; the one who remains in Me, and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.
- In God, whose word I praise,
In God I have put my trust;
I shall not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me? - “Can a person hide himself in hiding places
So that I do not see him?” declares the Lord.
“Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?” declares the Lord. - But Jesus said to him, “ ‘If You can’? All things are possible for the one who believes.”
- Or can a person walk on hot coals
And his feet not be scorched? - Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. - An excellent wife, who can find her?
For her worth is far above jewels. - Surely no one can refuse the water for these to be baptized, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we did, can he?
- Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all things for the glory of God.
- How can a young man keep his way pure?
By keeping it according to Your word. - The heart is more deceitful than all else
And is desperately sick;
Who can understand it?
I, the Lord, search the heart,
I test the mind,
To give to each person according to his ways,
According to the results of his deeds. - So that we confidently say,
“The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid.
What will man do to me?” - And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart.
- Or do you think that I cannot appeal to My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels?
- What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?
- For the customs of the peoples are futile;
For it is wood cut from the forest,
The work of the hands of a craftsman with a cutting tool.
They decorate the idol with silver and gold;
They fasten it with nails and hammers
So that it will not totter.
They are like a scarecrow in a cucumber field,
And they cannot speak;
They must be carried,
Because they cannot walk!
Do not fear them,
For they can do no harm,
Nor can they do any good. - Can a woman forget her nursing child
And have no compassion on the son of her womb?
Even these may forget, but I will not forget you.
Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;
Your walls are continually before Me. - No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.
- Now it shall be, if you diligently obey the Lord your God, being careful to do all His commandments which I am commanding you today, that the Lord your God will put you high above all the nations of the earth.
- Do all things without complaining or arguments; so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world, holding firmly the word of life.
- Whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.
- And it will be righteousness for us if we are careful to follow all this commandment before the Lord our God, just as He commanded us.
- If I have the gift of prophecy and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all people.As in water a face reflects the face,
So the heart of a person reflects the person. Why are you in despair, my soul?
And why are you restless within me?
Wait for God, for I will again praise Him
For the help of His presence, my God.Next verse!With image
