- For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
- Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.
- “What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.”
- The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear.
What can mere people do to me? - Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.
- So we can say with confidence,
“The Lord is my helper,
so I will have no fear.
What can mere people do to me?” - “Can anyone hide from me in a secret place?
Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and earth?”
says the Lord. - I praise God for what he has promised.
I trust in God, so why should I be afraid?
What can mere mortals do to me? - Can he walk on hot coals
and not blister his feet? - Who can find a virtuous and capable wife?
She is more precious than rubies. - So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
- That is why I can never stop praising you;
I declare your glory all day long. - What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?
- I can never escape from your Spirit!
I can never get away from your presence!
If I go up to heaven, you are there;
if I go down to the grave, you are there. - How can a young person stay pure?
By obeying your word. - Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do!
And whatever else you do, develop good judgment. - Can anyone object to their being baptized, now that they have received the Holy Spirit just as we did?
- You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father.
- Don’t you realize that I could ask my Father for thousands of angels to protect us, and he would send them instantly?
- For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
- Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen.”
- And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.
- The human heart is the most deceitful of all things,
and desperately wicked.
Who really knows how bad it is?
But I, the Lord, search all hearts
and examine secret motives.
I give all people their due rewards,
according to what their actions deserve. - No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.
- And the Lord our God commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear him so he can continue to bless us and preserve our lives, as he has done to this day.
If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see?Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.” And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.Next verse!With image
