- But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.
- But let justice run down like water,
And righteousness like a mighty stream. - For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established— that is, that I may be encouraged together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.
- For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise.
- You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.
- Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content.
- And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good?
- I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
- For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.
