| And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? | Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good? |
| Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. | If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. |

| What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? | Then what if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before? |
| Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. | And Jesus said to him, “‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.” |
| And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican. | If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector. |
| But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. | But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. |
| Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. | Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! |
| For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. | For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's. |
| If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. | If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit. |
| Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. | Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it. |
| And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. | And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother. |
| And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great. | And said to them, “Whoever receives this child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me. For he who is least among you all is the one who is great.” |
| Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. | Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you. |
| It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him. | The saying is trustworthy, for: If we have died with him, we will also live with him. |
| What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? | What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? |
| He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth. | Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life, but he who rejects reproof leads others astray. |
| For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. | For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. |
| He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known. | Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out. |
| Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. | Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. |
| Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock. | Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. |
| Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. | And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. |
| But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. | But if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. |
| If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. | If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. |
| Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? | Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?” |
| By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. | By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. |
